Craftsman Home Renovation | Regent Square, Pittsburgh
PROCESS
This renovation aimed to modernize the traditional "service" spaces (kitchen, mudroom, pantry, bathrooms) while highlighting the timeless original features of this Craftsman home.
FINISHED PRODUCT
A reconfigured and light-filled mudroom leads into the kitchen, where freshly patched and restored floor-to-ceiling subway tile and pine floors shine anew. Slate and steel accents in the kitchen contrast with custom cabinetry and warm cherry woodwork.
In the minuscule powder room, compact, modern wall-hung fixtures are juxtaposed with the historic reproduction glazed tile and oak millwork designed to match the remainder of the house. Traditional finishes and fixtures, large windows, mosaic tile, a reclaimed pedestal sink, and custom oak cabinetry & millwork carry the Craftsman style into the guest bathroom with a hint of modern luxury.
